Saint Clair Family Vineyards Premium Sauvignon Blanc

Saint Clair is one of the Pioneer producers in Marlborough and seeks to raise the profile and quality of Sauvignon Blanc from the region beyond the heights it has already hit with many single-vineyard wines produced. Their Premium Version is the wine that started the revolution for them and has maintained its top-notch quality over the years while many others have become watered-down and lack the lustre that they once had. Mayfly Sauvignon Blanc 

The Mayfly, so symbolic of the first warmth of summer, drift down New Zealand's crystalline streams and rivers providing food for the voracious trout that have made this a mecca for fly-fisherman the world over. The same pristine environment has proved to be the best place to produce the vibrant and refreshing Mayfly wines.  All of the fruit comes from the single Kerseley estate vineyard from vines planted between 1991 and 2008. Grown on a VSP trellis system, the vineyards are in the Dillons Point area around half a mile from the sea.  A beautiful youthful and exquisite Sauvignon Blanc with prominent asparagus, mature peach and exotic fruit notes on the nose. Fresh and deliciously crisp with excellent natural acidity and a long citric and peach aftertaste as well as a rounded body and good structure.  Try with grilled fish, Asian-style seafood, or Thai dishes for a lovely match! See more here

The Jumper Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 

The Jumper Sauvignon Blanc is made by Hunters,  one of the oldest wineries in Marlborough, and offers up all that we love about the variety and the region.   Packed full of Gooseberry, kiwi, passionfruit and asparagus flavours, these are wines that are hard not to like. Perfect with grilled vegetables, shellfish and tempura.  See more here

Leefield Station Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Leefield Station is a fully operational vineyard farm located in the Waihopai Valley of Marlborough.  It is one of the oldest Stations in Marlborough, dating back to the 1840s when it was settled by Constantine Dillon. In 2013 Brent Marris of Marisco Vineyards purchased the 2,200 ha property with sights set for not only its pastoral farming potential but also to convert a large portion of the land to the vineyard. Something Brent does superbly well!This has produced a wine with ripe tropical flavours including peach, guava, melon and citrus. On the palate this wine fleshy and very mellow, It has beautiful purity and undeniable energy, the finish long and refreshing. Pretty much the benchmark Marlborough style with slightly more friendly acidity, this Leefield Station is a memorable debut for what we suspect will become an iconic wine.  See more here

3 Wooly Sheep Sauvignon Blanc

This classy white is made by the Lawsons Family Vineyards, a byword for quality New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for nearly 20 years.  Its fun labelling has created a bit of a cult following for itself, but with the quality of the wine its not surprising to see so many repeat buys.  Chock full of lime fruit, elderflower, and grapefruit this white is great on its own or try with salads, moules marinere and most other seafood. See more here

Stoneleigh Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

The Sauvignon Blanc is the house flagship as with most Marlborough producers.   It displays lifted tropical fruit aromas, with the dominance of passionfruit, citrus blossom and grapefruit on the nose.  These flavours follow through to a palate that features ripe tropical fruit, melon and stone fruit flavours with a complex minerality that is balanced by tight and fresh acidity.
