IONA ELGIN CHARDONNAY
From Ionas high altitude vineyards at Elgin comes this magnificent Chardonnay. The elevated altitude ensures that the vines have a long, cool growing season. This, along with the subtle oak treatment, lends the wine a rather Burgundian character.
The nose offers up ripe tropical fruit, and a little citrus. The palate is precise and elegant, flavours of mango, peach and lemon all excite the palate. The finish is superbly long, with great acidity which ensures the wine remains sharp and focused to the end.
