George Wyndham Bin 555 Shiraz

Wyndham estate is one of the pioneers of the commercial wine industry of Australia and in this wine they have produced another unmistakable wine.

In the glass it is deep crimson red with vibrant purple hues. The nose reveals spicy plum, black pepper, cloves and chocolate aromas supported by subtle vanillin oak.

On the Palate there are generous plum and dark cherry fruits with spicy notes.

A decent bottle for the price.

First tasted this superb wine in a Belfast pub and managed to track it down at KWM wine merchants - the best wine merchants in the UK!

Bin 555 has always been my favourite accompaniment with dark meat - or even without food!
The rich blackcurrant overtones linger. It's not the easiest wine to get hold of nowadays, so am so glad I've found such a great new supplier in KWM Wine.

It could still be drinkable, but the fruit is likely to have dropped off by now. 30--40% chance it's still good The only way to know is to open it and see. It's not worth anything financially but could be interesting to open and see how it's developed. The worst that can happen is it's gone and it goes down the sink, equally it could be delicious. Pull the cork and find out! (But have a backup bottle just in case!)
