Batasiolo Barbera D'Alba D.O.C Sovrana

A good wine reveals to the world the soul of its vineyard, evokes its traditions and developments and encapsulates the unique notes of the season that ripened its grapes. Every vintage arouses a different emotion, making it truly unique. The difference is real history, the fragrant lands and the everyday lives of the people.  Batasiolo's ambition is to reflect this difference in their wines.

They take on this challenge with immense passion, crafting wines that conserve the richness of their identity, from the vine to the chalice, wherever they are tasted.

After malolactic fermentation, 30-40% of the whole mass is kept in French oak casks where it refines. The remaining part will complete ageing in large Slavonian oak casks. After blending and further ageing in stainless steel vats, the wine is bottled and left to evolve in bottle.

The colour is ruby red with delicate purple tinges. An intense and persistent olfactory expression with references to berries, spirited cherries and ripe fruit. Pleasant spicy flavours and delicate sensations reminiscent of wood and flowers. In the mouth, the exciting crispness of Barbera harmonises a high yet pleasant alcohol content. It reveals the typical intensity and persistence of a great wine.

It is a pleasant accompaniment for appetizers, pasta and risotto, white and red meat main courses and aged cheese. Paired with fish dishes the delicate tannic sensation can surprise.
