Bennati Valpolicella Superiore 100 Anniversario
The Bennati winery has a history and is well rooted in the Veneto wine scene. It was in fact in 1870 that Antonio Bennati was born in Cazzano di Tramigna, a town not far from Soave. From a young age, he began to produce wine but it was in 1920 that he decided to create the Bennati winery together with his son Annibale. From there began a continuous production of what are the main wines of Valpolicella, with a constant look at innovation without ever turning its back on the past and tradition. A new winery, new vineyards, and new projects to re-evaluate traditional local techniques, in collaboration with the University of Udine, make the Bennati winery one of the most avant-garde and reference realities in the area.
Valpolicella Superiore 100° Anniversario is produced in the Verona area, where the vines have their roots in calcareous and clayey soils of volcanic origin, mainly from Corvina grapes, with smaller percentages of Rondinella and Molinara. The fermentation of the grapes takes place in steel, then the second-passage barriques welcome the wine for ageing which will end in the bottle. With a lively ruby red colour with violet reflections, it presents itself to the nose with the typical scent of violet that is enriched with intense fruity notes, in a framework of great elegance and depth. The sip, enveloping and well-structured, clearly recalls the sensations of ripe fruit and gives us a long and pleasant finish.
Ideal to accompany Veronese cuisine, it is perfect to be enjoyed at the table with meat and game well-rooteddishes. To fully appreciate its style, this Valpolicella should be served at a serving temperature of 14/16°C.
