History of Bolivar Cigars
Named for the South-American revolutionary who liberated countries such as Venezuela, Columbia, Peru and Bolivia from Spanish rule, Bolivar cigars were founded by Jose F. Rocha, and following his death in 1954, the company was acquired by fellow cigar business, Cifuentes y Cia. Production was then moved to the famous Partágas Factory, where the brand continued to grow into the cigar aficionado favourite known across the world today.
