Casa Ferreirinha Castas Escondidas Douro Tinto
Typically Douro with intense aromas of ripe red and black fruits with spicy notes of pepper and cinnamon and hints of balsamic. Smooth and polished tannins with a bright acidity for a long and elegant finish.
Grapes were sourced from a combination of Casa Ferreirinha owned vineyards and trusted growers, with a significant proportion of fruit from old, low-yielding, field-blend plots in the blend. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel before the wine is moved to used French oak barrels and aged in cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia for around 18 months.
