Chateau Anthonic Cru Bourgeois Moulis-en-medoc 2007
Château Anthonic is located near to the village of Moulis-en-Médoc and spread over 31 hectares on caly - limestone -gravel soils. This Château was bought in 1977 by the Cordonnier family and produced its first vintage in 1981. Anthonic's most famous neighbours are Château Chasse-Spleen and Châteauu Clarke.
Maceration lasts for 3 weeks and the wine is then cold vinified before fermentation in thermo regulated stainless steel tanks and the wine is transferred in concrete tanks for better extractions of the tannins. 100% of the wine is aged in French and European oak barrels, 1/3 of which are new barrels.
A textbook example of a Cru Bourgeois from Moulis-en-Médoc. The 2007 vintage is drinking really well with a classic mix of dark bramble fruit and cigar box smokeyness and a long lingering finish. Pair with grilled red meat, games and with cheeses.
