Chateau Haut-Gaussens Bordeaux Superieur
Located in the north-west of Fronsadais, a 15 ha vintage. After Daniel Lhuilier, the founder of the estate in 1941, and Michel, the third generation has been at the helm since 2001, with Stéphane and Delphine.
A strong dominance of Merlot (90%) in this wine a little closed on the first nose, more open after a few turns of glass on a pretty fruity candied cherry with rose and spices. A supple and fleshy attack introduces a powerful, generous and vinous palate built on a solid tannic weft associated with a hint of acidity that brings nerve. A promising wine.
The nose with the first game and liquorice notes, patinates aerial shades of blond tobacco with truffled and spicy variations.
The soft and charming tannins in attack emancipate themselves while roundness in the heart of a mouth rich in sweetness and pastry notes.
