CHATEAU LAMOTHE-BOUSCAUT PESSAC LEOGNAN ROUGE

Château Lamothe Bouscaut is located in the village of Cadaujac and dates back to the 12th century. In 1999 it was acquired by its neighbour, Château Bouscaut, owned by Sophie Lurton and Laurent Cogombles. The vineyards measure a total of nine hectares and are mainly comprised of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc.

New from the Pessac Leognan region of Bordeaux this Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend will have you going back just to smell it never mind taste it, so good is the nose.  Sweet cassis fruit, leather and crushed rock give way to a full bided palate, with firm yet ripe tannins, which have a capacity to age for at least a decade, but are very approcahable already.

This is a gem of a Bordeaux from the Pessac area.  Try with roast beef, lamb or duck.
