DELAS FRERES VENTOUX ROUGE
Delas Freres are a company based in the historic Northern Rhone and produced a range of wines from top to bottom in some of the best vineyard sites of the Rhone Valley
The Ventoux red from Delas is a lighter bodied Rhone made predominantly from Grenache with a bit of Syrah for body and sturcture. Soft red fruits dominate this easy drinking red. Soft tannins and an easy finish make it very drinkable on its own or with simple red and white meat dishes.

The 2014 Cotes du Ventoux gives up charming, simple notes of dark fruits and peppery herbs as well a medium-bodied depth and richness. It’s certainly one-dimensional, but at 11 bucks it’s hard to complain. While no doubt good wines, I find these latest southern Rhône releases from Delas Freres to be a touch superficial. Nevertheless, there’s some good values here
