The Belle of Belfast City. Echlinville Distillery is honoured to be the new spiritual home to the historic Dunville’s Irish Whiskey Brand. We are proud to release Dunville’s VR 12 Year Old PX Finished Single Malt Irish Whiskey. This legendary whiskey will once again take its rightful place amongst the premier whiskeys of the world. Once produced by Dunville & Co. at The Royal Irish Distillery in Belfast, Dunvilles VR gained International status before fading after the Royal Irish Distillery was silenced amid the turbulence of the 1930’s. Aware of her immense cultural importance, Echlinville are honoured to be the current custodians of this great Belfast Brand, and are proud to offer a whiskey worthy of her name and reputation. With a complexity seldom found in a malt so delicate in character, tones of toasted oak and vanilla are complemented with rich fresh citrus, and a graceful hint of orange zest. This grace note is further revealed upon the addition of a few drops of water, as are the natural oils synonymous with non chill filtering. The influence of the Pedro Ximenez Sherry Butts, together with the oils is gloriously unveiled in a prolonged aristocratic finish, worthy of this fine whiskey’s royal ancestral past.
