The wild strawberry is a small red, extremely delicate fruit whose growth spread through Europe during the 17th century where the Burgundy region became a natural home for it. It wasn't long before the locals discovered how to make something a little stronger that fruit juice with them either!
Crème à la Fraise des Bois is produced according to the traditional maceration process and packs an intense flavour and sweet finish. Try it mixed with white wines, crémant or champagne instead of cassis. It can also be used in a variety of desserts, and of course perfect in a strawberry daiquiri!
