Galway Bay Brewery started life when friends Jason and Niall got fed up of the beer scene in Ireland and decided to do something about it… In 2009 they opened one of Ireland’s only brew pubs, The Oslo Bar in Salthill, Galway, a seaside town on the West Coast of Ireland. From a pretty simple brew kit they produced two beers that went straight from conditioning tank to tap… Over ten years and three moves later Galway Bay Brewery’s new home in Oranmore, just outside Galway, gives us the space, light and freedom to expand and experiment…
With a core range of seven beers and monthly releases from fruity sours to big barrel aged beers, we brew the full spectrum of flavours.
It’s been some journey over the past ten years and we are so looking forward to what the next ten will bring…
Brewed with a super light base of pilsner malt and rice. Fermented with a blend of our house lager & ale yeasts. Hopped heavily throughout the boil and whirlpool with Simcoe, Colombus & Strata and dry hopped with more of the same. This crisp and light base is the perfect foundation for these all star hops to shine. Double dank. Pine, crisp and bitter.
