Galway Bay Brewery Lush Extra Pale Ale 4.3% ABV
Galway Bay Brewery started life when friends Jason and Niall got fed up of the beer scene in Ireland and decided to do something about it… In 2009 they opened one of Ireland’s only brew pubs, The Oslo Bar in Salthill, Galway, a seaside town on the West Coast of Ireland. From a pretty simple brew kit they produced two beers that went straight from conditioning tank to tap… Over ten years and three moves later Galway Bay Brewery’s new home in Oranmore, just outside Galway, gives us the space, light and freedom to expand and experiment…
With a core range of seven beers and monthly releases from fruity sours to big barrel aged beers, we brew the full spectrum of flavours.
It’s been some journey over the past ten years and we are so looking forward to what the next ten will bring…
It's been a while since we launched a new core range beer and we can see those warmer days ahead so it's finally time to announce the release of our ultimate Spring thirst quencher. Lush Extra Pale Ale 4.3% is loaded with the finest Mosaic and Citra hops for a winning combination of citrusy notes paired with some more tropical papaya and pine. We wanted to build a beer on a really light, crisp base of marris otter and pale malts with a touch of wheat for a fluffy head and smooth mouthfeel. We brewed it with a recipe somewhere between our West coast beers and our hazy beers so it's full of juicy flavours but thirst quenching and easy drinking. The bitterness is also very subtle and allows the hops to run the show in this easy drinking session friendly pale ale. From crisp pints with friends to filling the fridge with crushable cans, it's our new go to 2024 beer.
