The Oslo was the start of Galway Bay Brewery and remains their flagship pub based in Salthill; their owners Jason O’Connell and Niall Walsh added a brewery on site in 2009, making The Oslo one of the country’s first brewpubs. Since then Galway Bay Brewery has expanded operations to 11 bars based in Galway and Dublin and has grown and re-positioned the Brewery just outside of Galway in Oranmore. They now produce four core beers along with a plethora of rotational beers that are released throughout the year.

2025 marks the 12th anniversary of the release of Of Foam & Fury, Ireland’s first Double IPA, and a lot has changed since then. For this edition, we decided to brew a single-hop Riwaka Of Foam & Fury—a hop we first used in 2023 that quickly became a brewery favourite—so it was a no-brainer for this special occasion. It is one of the most remarkable hops we have seen over the past 12 years. Expect big, bold citrus flavours and aromas of grapefruit, along with an intriguing exotic yellow fruit aftertaste, all beautifully balanced by a classic biscuity pale malt foundation, making it a lovely West Coast DIPA
