Godelia Bierzo Rosado 2024 is a vibrant expression of Spain’s El Bierzo region, crafted by Bodegas Godelia, a winery founded in 2009 by the García Rodríguez family. Their mission is to produce wines that authentically reflect the unique terroir of El Bierzo, utilizing native grape varieties such as Mencía and Godello.

The Bierzo DO (Denominación de Origen) is renowned for its diverse microclimates and slate-rich soils, providing ideal conditions for viticulture. Godelia’s vineyards, some over 60 years old, are situated in this mountainous valley, benefiting from the moderating influence of the Sil River.

The 2024 Rosado is made from 100% Mencía grapes, harvested from old vines. The winemaking approach emphasizes minimal intervention to preserve the natural characteristics of the fruit, resulting in a wine that is both fresh and expressive .

The wine has a delicate bouquet of rose petals, jasmine, and violets, complemented by hints of red fruits. On the palate, it is smooth, elegant, and refreshingly persistent.
