(If a wine is unavailable we will replace it with an equivalent or superior substitute)

Thistledown Gorgeous Grenache (South Australia)

Sourced from several Grenache vineyards across South Australia, including some of the region’s most iconic sites. All vineyards are vinified in small batches, separately. Wild ferments, whole bunch inclusion, larger oak and no filtration or fining define the natural character of the wine.  Grenache is Australia’s signature grape variety and Thistledown are slightly obsessed with it. Utilising a range of premium vineyards across South Australia, they've crafted a wine that captures all that is good about Grenache. Aromatic and lifted on the nose with a beautifully layered, textural palate with wild strawberry and spice, succulent, juicy and Pinot-like in its profile while the finish is savoury and moreish. Suit lighter meat dishes, pizza and pasta. See more here

Wild & Wilder The Courtesan Riesling (Clare Valley, South Australia)

Wild & Wilder is all about good clean fun. Working hand in hand with their merry (in a good season) band of growers, they craft wines of supreme quality but don’t take it all too seriously. Great fruit, grown by great people and made with a lot of love by people that know that wine is all about the good times, delicious food and creating great memories. Founded by Giles Cooke MW & Fergal Tynan MW, who also make the Thistledown wines, the mundane is just not in their DNA. Being involved in every stage of the winemaking process from bud burst to bottle means that every bottle from Wild & Wilder is an experience you’ll want to try again. See more here

Plantagenet Three Lions, Great Southern Cabernet/Merlot (Great Southern, Western Australia)

Plantagenet’s total 126 hectares of vineyard have been carved out of the region’s distinctive Marri soils, named after the massive native Marri, or Red Gum, trees that grow here. Parcels of Cabernet and Merlot were destemmed and crushed into closed fermenters and inoculated immediately. Ferments were pumped over twice daily with most parcels being pressed off after ferment and a small fraction undergoing extended maceration. Maturation took place in predominantly French oak 15 months before blending. The blended wine was then lightly fined before bottling.  This wine opens with attractive aromas of dark berry fruit and hints of chocolate and mocha. The tight grain French oak and juicy acidity create an excellent structure which carries the flavours of black plum, brambly fruit with a slightly herbal edge. Medium palate weight and good clean acid on the finish make this a superbly balanced wine. See more here

George Wyndham Bin 222 Chardonnay  (South Eastern Australia)

Wyndham Estate BIN wines are multi-regional blends, with fruit sourced from Australia’s premium viticultural regions. Created to be enjoyed now, BIN wines will also reward short term cellaring. The BIN range of wines reflect the full-flavoured fruit style for which Wyndham Estate is famous.  Ripe aromas of stone fruit and honeydew melon melded with nuances of crusty bread and nutty vanillin oak. A bouquet of great complexity and interest.  Intense flavours of peach blended with fig and citrus enhanced by toasty oak and finishing with a creamy silky texture from malolactic fermentation. The wine has an obvious presence by combining fruit intensity, oak maturation and ageing on yeast lees for a mature flavour. See more here

De Bortoli Woodfired Heathcote Shiraz (Heathcote, Victoria)

De Bortoli is regarded as one of Australia leading family-owned wineries who consistently produced wines for character, class and balance.  The Heathcote region of Victoria is renowned for quality Shiraz and this is no exception.  Intense deep red with a purple edge. Plump, dark fruits, plums, spice and dried herb. Rich, mouth-filling, balanced tannin, cured meats, liquorice. Authentically Heathcote.  Try with, chargrilled ribeye seasoned with salt, rosemary and olive oil. See more here

Peter Lehmann Layers, Adelaide White (South Australia)

Peter Lehmann, with 33 vintages already under his belt, started his own winery in 1979, partly as a means of helping with the glut of grapes then afflicting the Barossa. "I'll take your grapes and turn them into wine," he told the desperate growers, many of them conservative farmers of Silesian descent who regarded their old vines as part of their patrimony. "But I'll only be able to pay you when I sell the wine." They gratefully accepted. Without this deal, it is widely thought that the Barossa would have lost a huge chunk of its old vines.   See more here
