K-naia Rueda Verdejo (Rueda, Spain)

The grapes come from 98 acres of vineyards, the majority of which are 26 years old (and 5 acres of which are ungrafted 90 year old Verdejo vines) all located in La Seca. The grapes are gently pressed and the juice settled for 24 hours. This is then racked to temperature controlled stainless steel tanks for fermentation. The wine is aged on fine lees post ferment, for 3 months. A nose of pink grapefruit, passion fruit, mandarin oil notes and lightly herbaceous characters. The palate is rich with minerality, racy lime zest acidity and a touch of stone fruit - giving a lovely texture and intensity, and just a touch of fennel on the finish. Fantastic with oily or grilled fish and new potato salads, or shrimps in garlic sauce. See more here

Sansilvestro Langhe Rosso Ensema (Piedmont, Italy)

The blend of two varieties that "ensema" (together) give a great wine.  Made using Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon this Langhe D.O.C. Ensema is a tribute to the beauty of being with other people to have a good time. Barbera being the most popular vine variety in Piedmont is famous for its strength and productivity.  The compactness of its clusters makes it easily recognizable.  The wines from Barbera tipically present a nice freshness, due to the high acidity contained in grapes.  Add the internationally renowned Cabernet Sauvgnon and a bit of oak ageing and you get a wine with more weight, structure and complexity.  The result is a very enjoyable red winesuitable for a wide range to red meats and cheeses. See more here

Anselmi San Vincenzo Bianco (Veneto, Italy)

In the annals of winemaking, Roberto Anselmi with an uncompromising quality-over-quantity approach has helped redefine the image of north Italian white wines.  His San Vincenzo Bianco falls outside the bounds to be classifed as Soave due to the introduction of 30% Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc into the blend with the local King variety Garganega and is instead labelled Veneto IGT.    Made in the Soave hills on a 54 hectare site around the village of Monteforte d'Alpone, San Vincenzo is a beautiful dry white with a straw yellow colour.   After fermentation the wine is matured for 6 months in steel on natural yeasts without decanting, with lee's stirring taking place periodically.  Aging takes place in bottle for 3 months prior to release.  The result is a wine which has an expressive and intensely fruity nose, with mineral and citrus notes in which you can recognize hints of apple and lemon, while the palate has a texture and weight rarely found in wines from this part of Italy.   A very fine wine, very pleasant, persistent and well balanced. Try with dishes based on fish and vegetables See more here

Chateau Puybarbe Cuvee le Maine Cotes du Bourg (Bordeaux, France)

New vintage of the outstanding value Chateau Puybarbe from Bordeauxs superb right bank commune of Cotes du Bourg.  This predominantely Merlot led wine is full of deep, jammy fruit and spices. The palate unveils smooth tannins and blackcurrant fruit flavours. Contrasting against the powerful, warming flavours, this wine has freshness and balance.  Drinking beautifully now, this wine delivers way over its price, and for a red Cotes du Bourg its a real steal. See more here

Domaine du Petit Metris Savennieres Clos de la Marche (Loire Valley, France)

A wonderful example of wild Chenin Blanc with real minerality and restrained fruit. Medium-bodied with classic honeyed and almond aromas, the palate has a rich, lush texture with clean flavours of green apples, pears and marzipan. It is complex and refreshing with good length on the finish. A serious food wine. See more here

Bodegas Arráez, Mala Vida' (Valencia, Spain)

'Mala Vida' means 'the bad side of the good life' and the playful label depicts a draughts board of sin. The wine is a clear purple red, with intense aromas of red and black fruit and subtle vanilla and coconut from oak ageing. The unctuous palate has sweet, ripe tannins and long-lasting fruit flavours. See more here
