Ai Galera Poetica (Portugal)
Inspired by the long, and sometimes extremely colourful history of the region – most notably the life of literati Marchioness Leonor of Távora, Ai Galera’s arresting imagery and even more arresting wine quality demands and hollers for your attention. Incredible value, intriguing indigenous varieties and supreme drinkability all add up to wines that thrill. An intense ruby red colour. Vinous and clean aroma's with hints of red berry fruits. Round in the mouth and medium bodied. A well rounded finish with mellow tannin. This gentle red works well with white meats and soft cheese. See more here
Aloe Tree Colombard Sauvignon Blanc (South Africa)
The fruit for Aloe Tree hails from the increasingly fashionable west coast of the Cape. Cool nights and sea breezes combine to extend the growing season, resulting in perfectly balanced, ripe grapes. The iconic Aloe Tree image is sure to be familiar to anyone who has travelled widely through the Cape and is an important part of the biodiversity which South Africa is famous for. The characteristic silhouette provides a backdrop to one of the most spectacular wine regions in the world where wines grow in harmony with the thousands of plant species that make up the Cape Floral Kingdom. This is a vibrant wine full of the grassy, kiwi fruit from the Colombard combined with the lemony notes from the Sauvignon. This would be a great wine to have with avocado and prawn salad or grilled chicken. See more here
Etchart Privado Malbec (Argentina)
From Bodegas Etchart this is a wine of great value. An intense red colour, lots of cooked red fruits and spice on the nose, the palate has sweet berries and a little pepper. Really great everyday drinking. Try with casseroles, grilled meats or bbq chicken See more here
Mont Rocher Viognier (France)
From the sun-soaked south of France, this Viognier is cracking value. It bursts full of apricot, honeysuckle and peach aromas on the nose, while the palate has a good level of acidity and is not too alcoholic which can be a problem for this variety. Ideal with crispy duck or pork belly. Very good value wine and highly recommended. See more here
Cipres Sauvignon Blanc (Chile)
Plenty of green fruit flavours, with lemony acidity and a crisp refreshing finish. See more here
