Domaine La Decelle Reserve Cotes du Rhone Villages Valreas (Rhone Valley)
The more northerly appellation of Côtes du Rhône Villages Valréas has a slightly cooler climate compared with the wines of Cairanne and Gigondas. Together with the clay dominated soils of Domaine La Decelle the result is a curvaceous blend; soft and fruity and very drinkable. Complex nose of red fruit, marzipan, spices and candied fruit ..... notes of cocoa when the wine opens up. Full and fresh on the palate, with notes of strawberry jam and chocolate overtones. Soft, silky tannins with a long, fruity finish. See more here
Cave de Turckheim Sables et Galets Pinot Gris (Alsace)
A delicious and very expressive Pinot Gris from Frances North East. Complex nose with violets, hints of acacia honey, quince, smokiness, sweet spices and crystallised ginger. The evolved palate opens dramatically with ginger notes and a lovely rich marmalade finish. A beautiful and often over looked wine from France, this is a great partner to Asian style flavours and mildly spiced dishes. See more here
