![]() Includes one each of the following: (If a wine is unavailable we will replace it with an equivalent or superior substitute) Domaine de Rombeau Le Botaniste Fig 3 Mourvedre & Syrah (Roussillon, France) The "Le Botaniste" cuvées are the fruit of an ancestral heritage carried by the visionary qualities of Henri de La Fabrègue five generations ago. Today, the knowledge acquired through the years leads them to a culture of the vine that respects its environment and the ecosystem to which it belongs. Mourvèdre likes clay-limestone soils, its yield must be low so that its stumps are not quickly exhausted which gives this vintage personality and relief. The nose is lively and complex. There are aromas of red and black fruits and grilled cocoa. Serve it at 15°C with seared duck breast, a medium-hot dish with chillies or Spanish Manchego. For Asia, food try a chicken curry a little bit spicy. St. Peyre’s Picpoul offers big but focused and refreshing flavour elements of melon, lemon and grapefruit. It’s a terrific aperitif, but is truly celebrated with all shellfish and seafood, as well as full-flavoured white meat dishes, cheeses and cured meats. It is greenish- pale yellow, with enticing aromas of lime, smoke, honeysuckle and white flowers, bright and smooth, medium-bodied, with a grapey, quite dense mouth feel, a nicely integrated acidity and a very clean, lengthy finish. Located near the village of Saint Sulpice de Faleyrens, this estate is proof that Bordeaux can still take on the New World in the value-for-money stakes. Bright ruby red colour; pleasant aromas of red berries on the nose; a palate filled with excellent juicy fruit, round and mellow tannins. Well-balanced and easy-to-drink wine for everyday pleasure. Eminently food-friendly, this balanced fruity red makes a great partner for rich red meat stews, steak in peppery sauces or full-flavoured cheeses. The vineyards are planted on Sologne clay and sand which lend the elegance and power of the finished wine. On the whole, this was a very hot vintage. There was rain in June, but then the summer remained very dry until harvest. These conditions meant the grapes ripened evenly and were in perfect condition for the early harvest. See more here Delas Freres Ventoux Rouge (Rhone Valley) Delas Freres are a company based in the historic Northern Rhone and produced a range of wines from top to bottom in some of the best vineyard sites of the Rhone Valley. The Ventoux red from Delas is a lighter-bodied Rhone made predominantly from Grenache with a bit of Syrah for body and structure. Soft red fruits dominate this easy-drinking red. Soft tannins and an easy finish make it very drinkable on its own or with simple red and white meat dishes. See more here Gustave Lorentz L'ami des Crustaces Pinot Blanc Classique (Alsace) The first mention of the Lorentz family in the commune of Ribeauvillé dates back to the end of the Thirty Years' War in the second half of the 17th century. They were innkeepers or coopers as well as ‘gourmets’, the old name given to wine merchants. Generations passed with the birth of Jacques Lorentz in 1798 and Charles Lorentz in 1836. This same year, Maison Lorentz was founded in the commune of Bergheim. Today, Georges Lorentz has the honour of managing the estate, seven generations later. This wine has a delicate bouquet that exudes white flower, honey, melon and citrus aromas. The mouth is lively, dry, pleasant and perfectly balanced with well-integrated acidity and a touch of minerality. Very easy to drink, it is also easy to pair with many dishes as it matches very well with appetizers, fish and shellfish, as well as with white meat.
