Hand Picked Marlborough Sauvignon Mixed Case £68.95
Includes one each of the following great Marlborough Sauvignon Blancs...
Stoneleigh Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
The Sauvignon Blanc is the house flagship as with most Marlborough producers. It displays lifted tropical fruit aromas, with the dominance of passionfruit, citrus blossom and grapefruit on the nose. These flavours follow through to a palate that features ripe tropical fruit, melon and stone fruit flavours with a complex minerality that is balanced by a tight and fresh acidity. Serve slightly chilled on its own or with delicate white meat or seafood dishes. See more here
The Ned Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
Full flavoured and classically pungent Marlborough Sauvignon from Brent Marris, who has planted sauvignon blanc, along with pinot gris and pinot noir, on virgin land in Marlborough's Waihopai Valley. The name The Ned comes from the highest peak in Marlborough’s Wither Hills, which overlooks the valleys and vineyards below. See more here
Framingham Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
The Framingham label was launched in 1994 with one Riesling, and has since expanded to include Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. Framingham produces wines from their 19.5 hectare estate vineyard (certified organic since 2014) and other selected sites. This is a Star winery in Marlborough and this Sauvignon Blanc delivers smoky aromatics, with flint, bitter lemon citrus, grapefruit and tropical hints. The palate is rich, slightly chewy, with good mouthfeel, texture and harmony. Flavours of yellow citrus, currant, papaya and sweet herbs carry through the finish. See more here
The Cloud Factory Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc
A wine which offers a lot of bang for its buck, this is a leading example in affordable Marlborough. Made using a blend of hand selected vineyard pockets in the Awatere, Wairau and Waihopai valleys, its delicious tropical notes of Guava combined with limey citrus notes, while the stoney minerailty in the wine speaks of its terroir. This is a wine which will sit equally well with salads, grilled fish or tempura prawns. Equally, it goes very well with another glass by itself! See more here
Saint Clair Family Vineyards Premium Sauvignon Blanc
Saint Clair is one of the Pioneer producers in Marlborough and seek to raise the profile and quality of Sauvignon Blanc from the region beyond the heights it has already hit with many single vineyard wines produced. Their Premium Version is the wine that started the revolution for them and has maintained its top notch quality over the years while many others have become watered-down and lack the lustre that they once had. Consistently one of the best Marlborough Sauvignons available at the price it's a wine that never disappoints. See more here
3 Wooly Sheep Sauvignon Blanc
This classy white is made by the Lawsons Family Vineyards, a byword for quality New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc for nearly 20 years. It's fun labelling has created a bit of a cult following for itself, but with the quality of the wine its not surprisingly to see so many repeat buys. Chock full of lime fruit, elderflower, and grapefruit this white is great on its own or with try with salads, moules marinere and most other seafoods. See more here
