Cabriz Dao Tinto Selecionada (Dao, Portugal)

40% Alfrocheiro; 30% Aragonez; 30% Touriga Nacional. Cabriz tells a story that is born in Dão, on a trip through the heart of Portugal, through the lands, hills, and people, presenting a wide portfolio that seeks to fulfill all segments and moments of consumption but always following the same principle: to produce wines that have a great quality.  In 1989, in the heart of the Dão wine region,  Dão Sul is born. Inspired by Quinta de Cabriz, a property with a magnificent manor house and a chapel of the XVII century, Dão Sul has become a reference for winemaking in the Dão.  Of the vineyards surrounded by pine trees, the grapes produced in integrated production give way to wines with balanced acidity and delicate aromas.  The red is Intense ruby colour.  Fruity nose, full of fresh red fruits, forest fruit jelly, light in spices and toasted notes.  Fruity, soft, silky, lively, elegant and harmonious on the palate. Delicious and moreish!  Ideal with soft cheeses or moderately-cooked white and red meats kitchen. Mediterranean, Chinese, Indian, and African cuisine. Consume at 18°C. See more here

Cabriz Dao Branco (Dao, Portugal)

40% Encruzado; 20% Bical; 20% Malvasia-Fina; 20% Cerceal-Branco.  Surrounded by mountains in all directions, based on very poor granite soils, the Dão region extends its vineyards scattered among pine forests at different altitudes, from 1,000 metres in the Serra da Estrela to 200 metres in the lower areas.  The grapes for this white are totally destemmed and fermented at harvest and then fermented at 15 degrees in stainless steel to maintain the freshness and vibrancy of the varieties.  Expect a wine with vibrant citrus notes of lime, lemon and grapefruit with well-balanced acidity and a fresh finish.  Perfect with fish, salads, or by itself with friends. See more here

Cabriz Dao Rosado (Dao, Portugal)

50% Touriga-Nacional; 50% Alfrocheiro. An even blend of the 2 key red wine varieties from the region, Touriga Nacional and Alfrocheiro grown on the local decomposed granitic soils shows off Intense fresh red fruits, predominantly strawberry, raspberry, blueberry and rose petals.  This is a vibrant Rose, just a touch off-dry with candyfloss, wild red fruit flavours and a touch of spice.  A perfect complement a wide range of dishes both white meat and fish, but equally enjoyable by itself  See more here

Herdade Monte Da Cal Alentejano Tinto (Alentejo)

Surrounded by the quiet landscape of northern Alentejo, Monte da Cal merges perfectly with the soothing environment of the nature in this part of the country and is rimmed by an infinity of vineyards, cork oak trees, and olive trees, that only disappear far away on the horizon.  Here, the red varieties Trincadeira, Syrah, Aragonês, Alicante Bouschet, Alfrocheiro and Touriga Nacional; and the white varieties Antão Vaz, Viognier, Arinto and Alvarinho are planted.  Monte da Cal's goal is to produce high-quality wines, as well as great value wines, which they achieve in abundance here.  Monte da Cal Tinto is elegant, fruity and smooth but keeping the authenticity of alentejo.  Ideal for BBQ's, light tomato based pasta dishes or for just enjoying simply by itself. See more here

Casa Ferreirinha Callabriga Douro Tinto (Douro Valley)

Founded in 1952, with the production of the first ever vintage of Barca Velha, Casa Ferreirinha pioneered the quality revolution in Douro still wines and was the first producer in the region dedicated entirely to producing wine, rather than port. Named after the legendary Porto matriarch Dona Antónia Ferreira, Casa Ferreirinha pays homage to the memory of this visionary woman. Today, the winemaking is headed up by Luís Sottomayor, who restrains the Douro’s natural exuberance to produce wines that have a vibrant freshness allied with a lovely texture and depth.  This wine is deep ruby in colour with an intense and complex nose of ripe red and black fruits with floral nuances and hints of tobacco and spice. On the palate, it has a lively acidity, firm but velvety tannins and a lovely spiciness on the long and harmonious finish. See more here
