![]() Includes one each of the following: (If a wine is unavailable we will replace with an equivalent or superior substitute) Thistledown Gorgeous Grenache Rose (South Australia, Australia)Masters of Wine, Giles Cooke & Fergal Tynan, founded Thistledown Wines in 2010 after discovering iconic vineyard sites in the McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills. They make hand-made, small-batch wines that perfectly illustrate the benefits of great sites and intelligent, minimalist winemaking. Fruit for this comes from 2 different old vine fruit sources, one trellised and one bush trained. one hand-picked, one machine picked. After harvesting the fruit was gently de-stemmed and crushed followed by 3.5 hours on skins to extract minimal colour. This beautifully pale rosé has lovely aromatic wild strawberry and cranberry notes on the nose. The palate is tangy, dry and textural with creamy berry fruit and a deliciously moreish finish. Crafted from old vine Grenache, this racy rosé is a brilliant example of why we think Grenache is so Gorgeous. Ideal as an aperitif or with freshly grilled fish. See more here Farnese Fantini Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo Rose (Abruzzo, Italy)The wines from Abruzzo became famous worldwide in the XVI century, thanks to Princess Margaret of Austria and Farnese has made sure it has kept its high reputation throughout the years. Margaret of Austria and her husband Prince Farnese began producing wines of very high quality that were drunk at feasts all over Europe. Farnese has carried on this tradition with a highly advanced, complete and flawless programme of production and marketing. Harvest for these grapes is at the beginning of October. Soft stalk-stripping and crushing. Brief maceration on skins (about 6 hours). Fermentation without skins for 15 days at 12°C in order to obtain ideal colour and taste. This wine is bright cherry pink. Intense and persistent, delicate fragrance, very fruity with notes of small red fruits (strawberry). Medium body, intense, well-balanced, soft and round, very long in the mouth. Drink young. It matches perfectly with fish, first light courses and white meat. Excellent in between meals. See more here Guillaume Gonnet Vigneron La Nymphe Tavel (Rhone Valley, France)Grapes for this Tavel Rose come from 25 years old vines on a limestone bedrock and sandy topsoil. After harvest, they are directly pressed after a cold soak on the skins for 12 – 18 hours to extract the delicate colour. No oak ageing occurs with this wine. Consistently one of our favourite Roses this Tavel is a round, textured rose. A gorgeous, vibrant, dark, pink colour. Loads of fruit on the nose and palate - strawberry, cherries, watermelon, peach, and nectarine with a nice dry, refreshing finish. This wine is not only pretty, but tastes delightful.
