Les Hauts de Montrouge Gros Manseng
Les Hauts de Montrouge winery is located in Nogaro in the Gers Region (South West of France). Established in 1963, it unites 60 farmers, wine growers, following the very best winemaking tradition over a vineyard of above 900 hectares. The land of D’Artagnan, the Gascony country offers a sandy soil to the vines of the hills of Nogaro. This unique terroir gives the Côtes de Gascogne grapes a strong personality and a specificity famous to all lovers of wines and spirits from South West of France. Growers here cultivate both noble and traditional grape varieties such as white Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Colombard, Gros Manseng, Petit Manseng, Merlot, Tannat and Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon.
The Gros Manseng is medium-sweet. Lemon/gold with gold tinges in look with a nose of exotic fruit and grapefruit, while the palate is a complex mix of citrus and exotic fruits, round and ample with a fresh finish due to the natural acidity.
Ideal as an aperitif, with foie gras, exotic dishes and sweet puddings. Should be served at 10°C
