Horner Horny Rose Pfalz 2020
The family-owned winery is located on the western outskirts of the village Hochstadt. The rural settlement was established in the middle of the nineties. For generations, the family has experienced in winegrowing and the bottled wine became more and more important for 25 years. The products arose completely from their own cultivation. Presently the area of cultivable vineyards is about 30 hectare.
The family feels confident in modern but near to nature management, uses no herbicides and insecticides and spends a lot of time with costly handwork. The sustainable and considerate exploitation of nature is an important focal point. Preservation and promotion of biodiversity and the ecological cycle. The vines thrive and prosper on loess loam (with a high proportion of limestone) with excellent soil characteristics such as good water supply. In consequence of this fruity fresh and durable wines could be produced also in dry vintages.
This Rose has strawberries, raspberries, gooseberries and a little paprika that smell fruity and spicy out of the glass. Very drink-stimulating and elated but still serious glides this bright pink jester across the tongue.
