Jean Claude Mas Chateau Oustau St Andre
This domain was born from the dream of a member of a winegrowers’ cooperative who wanted to be independent, but he soon decided that he preferred being a wine producer and sold the site.
Jean-Claude Mas creates there, with a great typicity and a beautiful plot selection, the Château Oustau Saint André Les Bournasses, from Grenache Noir, Syrah and Mourvèdre.
This winery completes its coverage in the terroirs of the Languedoc-Roussillon region. Near the river Rhône, it is located at the extremity of the vineyards of Languedoc, between Nîmes and Arles. The soils are alluvial, similar to those of the Rhône vineyards, consisting of calcareous clay, rolled pebbles, gravel and sand. As a result, the wines express powerful, generous aromatic notes.
