Martin Wassmer Spatburgunder Trocken 2020 £15.95
![]() MARTIN WASSMER SPATBURGUNDER TROCKENMartin Wassmer is a leading producer in Germany's Baden region located in the Southwest of the country along the French and Swiss borders, where winemaking dates back hundred's of years. With a particularly good reputation for quality Spatburgunder (Pinot Noir), this producer is one to watch out for and certainly one to try if you've never experienced their wines and you enjoy a glass of Burgundy. Their premium wines can comfortably sit with some of the best in Burgundy with power and finesse, complexity and elegance. From this expression, expect a light-bodied style with delicate floral, forest fruit aromas and soft tannins and well-balanced acidity. A lovely wine by itself or will suit white meat dishes and meatier style fish. Decanter 29th Jul 2015 "Distinctly lighter than your average German pinot noir, unadulterated by oak and carrying a breezy charm. Perfumed and with sweet raspberry fruit, there's a lovely intensity with the soft tannins before an attractive red cherry hit on the finish. Christelle Guibert" 90 Points
