Mendieta Osaba Wines is a small production, family-owned winery located at the skirts of the Sierra Cantabria, more precisely, Lanciego in the heart of the much sought after Rioja Alavesa terroir.  The Mendieta Osaba family has been passionately growing grapes on its family's historic vineyards for generations. Juantxu Mendieta, a.k.a. "Mendi" by his friends and family in his pueblo, produces quality, handcrafted wines that are limited in production and a true reflection of this very special terroir.

OSABA MENDI by Mendieta Osaba is made of 100% Tempranillo from 30-60 year old vineyards.  Its aged for 5 months in French & American oak barrels (225 L) after vinification.

Deep cherry red colour with violet tones. Spicy berry with vanilla and cocoa notes on the nose leading to a palate whish shows superb balance that delicately flows to a beautiful, long and juicy finish

Try with beef, chicken, ribs, barbecues and/or cheese
