Mendieta Osaba is a tiny independent family winery located in the Rioja Alavesa run by Juanxtu Mendieta ('Mendi') and his American wife Carmen.  This is an estate where hands-on, really means hands-on.  Mendi and Carmen do absolutely everything on the estate from the vineyard work, to the vinification, to the marketing, social media and sales.  They focus on the traditional Tempranillo variety using oak carefully and the quality of their work shines through in these must-try wines.
