PIERRE CHAINIER ROSE D'ANJOU
Pierre Chainier source classic Loire varietal wines as well as owning some excellent properties throughout the region. For both elements of their wine business, they look to principles of agriculture raisonne alongside the most modern wine-making techniques. Clos de Nouys is a 25 acre estate within the Vouvray appellation, one of the oldest in the AOC with vines averaging 35 years old. Its parcels of vines were already listed amongst the best sites on geological maps dating from 1907.
Classic medium-dry rosé from Anjou. Pale strawberry pink in colour, this has delicate summer pudding aromas and a round medium-dry palate with balancing but delicate acidity.
A lovely aperitif or with light dishes.
