This is a Cognac, a Spirit made from grapes, not a Champagne / sparkling wine.
The 2 key regions of Cognac are somewhat confusingly known as Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne and a 'Fine Champagne' Cognac is produced using grapes produced from across those 2 sub-regions. Other sub-regions include Bordeires, Fins Bois, Bois Ordinaires within the Cognac region for Brandy.

Hi no that product will not go out of date as it is a spirit above 40% alcohol. As long as it is sealed and not in direct sunlight it will keep for years.
