![]() Ridge Three Valleys 2021In 1972, Ridge made its first Lytton Springs from vines planted on the eastern half of the vineyard at the turn of the century. Both the eastern and western portions of the vineyard were purchased in the early 1990s, (In the 1870s, under “Captain” William Litton’s ownership, the two were part of one property; spelling evolved to “Lytton” by 1903.) The vineyard is planted to Zinfandel and its principal complementary varietals. Wine InformationSourced from vineyards across Three Valleys in Sonoma County this is a wine which shows the skill of the Ridge Winemakers in creating a blend using multiples ingredients across multiple vineyard sites. The sum, is greater than the whole as the saying goes. Aged for 12 months in American oak 10% new, with only the bare minimum amounts of sulphur using in the winemaking and bottling process. 65% Zinfandel, 26% Petite Sirah, 5% Syrah, 4% Alicante Bouschet Nose of toasty oak, strawberry jam, mixed berry pie, black tea and baking spice. Layered black and blue fruit on the palate with milk chocolate, cherry, garrigue and textured tannins on the finish.
