The Liberator Malt in Tawny Port finish is a rich and complex Whiskey, finished for 9-12 months in really fresh Tawny Port Casks. 

It's Ireland's first Vatted Malt in decades - made up of 2 Single Malts from different distilleries and led the wave of Port finished Whiskeys. Initially matured in ex-Bourbon casks, it was finished in really fresh Tawny Port casks

These contribute figs, apple and pear on the nose with a rich taste of cocoa, clove and blackcurrant alongside a warming long finish. 

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Intense fruity aromas like dried cherries, figs and freshly peeled citrus zests.

Palate: First some roasted aromas from malt and hazel nuts, then undertones of a winey sweetness, again fruity but now more blackberries, dried kiwi and blood orange zests, the mouthfeel is smooth with a soft sparkle.

Finish: Warm and spicy with a bit of candied ginger, again long-pepper and citrus zests.
