The White Hag Black Boar Barrel-Aged Imperial Oatmeal Stout No.5 10.2% ABV

Setting out to make interesting and innovative beers, with a nod towards the ancient and classic beer styles that were common in generations of the hinterland.

While known for its award-winning stout range and a stellar set of IPAs that make up most of The White Hag core range. The Púca sour range has captured the imagination of the beer consumer who wants a tart, effervescent mixed fermentation sour beer. It’s supported by Heather Sour, Apple sour and a few other special and collaboration sours made along the way.

The White Hag collaborated with many peers in the industry and have made beers with breweries from across the world that have been truly groundbreaking.

A fierce and powerful creature was the Black Boar. This huge beast played a massive role in shaping ancient Irish history. Famously the Black Boar killed and was killed by Diarmuid the warrior while he answered the challenge of his arch-rival Fionn Mac Cumhaill on the mountain of Ben Bulben in County Sligo.

The Black Boar has come to represent resilience. Fitting then that The White Hag’s black, silky Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Oatmeal Stout should carry the name of one of ancient Ireland’s most notorious icons.
