Torre Rosazza Friuli Grave Pinot Grigio
This wine comes from the vineyards around Spilimbergo, in that part of the region that extends between Pordenone and Udine called Friuli Grave for the "grave" precisely: large pebbles brought here over the centuries by the floods of the Tagliamento. About 130 meters above sea level, the soil is of alluvial origin, characterized by a first surface layer that rests on a second layer of pebbles ("graves" in French) of various sizes, of calcareous origin and dolomite.
The climate is temperate: it is favorably affected by the presence of the Friulian Dolomites, which shelter from the cold winds of the north, and the mitigating effect of the Adriatic Sea to the south. After soft pressing, vinification traditionally takes place in white, with fermentation in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 15-16 ° C. The aging is then conducted on the fine lees for at least 3 months.
Intense straw yellow color. The nose imposes itself with hints of oregano and rosemary, apple, pear, elderberry, lemon and jasmine; In the mouth, it is very fresh and sapid, with floral aromatic.
