The secret is in the way it marries the finest malt whiskies, such as The Macallan and Highland Park, with exceptional grain whiskies for an unusually long period in fully seasoned oak casks. The result is a blend of the smoothest possible character. Critics Review "The Nose- it is quite lovely. The taste- there is a distinct marmalade and custard quality but only after a brooding shadow of smoke moves out of the picture taking a little honey with it. The Finish- lots of mocha and cream toffee, with the vanilla adding a dusty quality. The balance- Have to say this is one very complex whisky these days. A fascinating and tasty bird, indeed."
