Tenimenti Ca'Bianca Barolo

In Piedmont, in the heart of the gentle hills of the upper Monferrato in the province of Alessandria, is the Cà Bianca winery, a modern cellar in continuous renewal, which looks to the future, with extreme attention to quality.

The Langa, both Astigiana and Albese, has always represented one of those areas most suited to the cultivation of vines, in particular to the Nebbiolo grape, which represents an important role not only in the Italian wine scene but also at an international level. This occurs in particular on the hills near the city of Alba where the Nebbiolo grapes ripen which allow us to obtain the so-called King of wines: Barolo.

The grapes are harvested in mid-October. The harvest takes place exclusively by hand and the grapes are placed in boxes. Once the grapes arrive in the cellar, they are first crushed and de-stemmed and then carried out in vertical fermenters at a controlled temperature. Here the alcoholic fermentation begins. At the end of it, a post-fermentation skin maceration takes place for about 20 days, after which the separation of the must by pressing takes place. In this way, we will have the new wine ready for the refinement period. The refinement foresees storage in steel for about 2 months, and then continues in French oak barrels and first and second passage barriques for at least 24 months, after which the assembly of the various batches and bottling.

Garnet red colour; the fine and elegant perfume, well incorporates spicy scents with notes of ripe red fruit and flowers. Barolo turns out to be a very structured wine with a good body accompanied on the finish by soft tannins that caress the palate.
Recommended with: excellent with braised red meats, game with polenta and in some situations it goes very well with a meditation meal.
