Domaine de Montille Bourgogne Blanc
Very focussed and floral, delicate and nice purity. From Puligny vineyards, there are crunchy apples, texture and just a hint of clove on the finish.
Domaine de Montille is not only one of Volnay’s most historic estates but is also hailed as one of the finest domaine in Burgundy. It dates back to 1730, and today it is siblings Etienne and Alix de Montille, the 9th generation of the family, who run the substantial estate. They acquired Château de Puligny in 2012 and added considerably to their already impressive range of premier cru and grand cru sites across the Côte d’Or. They appointed American winemaker Brian Sieve as the Chef de Cave and transformed the estate to work under organic and biodynamic principles. With these three working seamlessly together, plus an enviable selection of vineyards and sensitive élévage in the winery. Domaine de Montille is a Burgundy domaine at the top of its game.
